Visiting Royalty wishing to ride in the VIP section of the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Parade must represent one of the following:
- A National, State, or PRCA Rodeo
- A County Rodeo or Fair
- The International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA)
- Other ambassadors of the sport of rodeo (e.g., stock contractors or rodeo sponsors)
- A state-recognized pageant organization (e.g., Miss America or Miss USA organizations)
- A related group of representatives (e.g., a Native American Tribe)
Eligibility & Requirements
- Visiting Royalty must complete the online application by the stated deadline.
- Royalty titles may include, but are not limited to: Miss, Mrs., Queen, Attendant, Wrangler, Junior Princess, and Junior Wrangler.
- Applications must list the names of all royalty participants, the parade dates each will participate, and current contact information.
- Titles must be verifiable upon request (e.g., official documentation or website verification).
- Current titleholders will receive priority consideration; past royalty may be accepted if space allows.
- All Visiting Royalty must complete a release of liability waiver for each year’s celebration.
Age Requirements
- All participants 12 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult.
- Participants riding horseback must be 13 years of age or older.
Application Due Date
Visiting Queen and Royalty applications must be received by July 1, 2026.
No late applications will be accepted.
Application Process
Upon receipt of a completed application, applicants will be notified by email or phone regarding acceptance or denial into the parade.
Attire
Due to the Western theme of Cheyenne Frontier Days™, all Visiting Royalty are required to wear appropriate Western attire, and this requirement will be strictly enforced.
Acceptable attire includes Western jeans, split riding skirts, and Western-style skirts.
Inappropriate attire includes, but is not limited to:
- Tank tops
- Sleeveless blouses
- Short skirts or shorts
Traditional regalia is acceptable for participating Native American Tribes. Participants may be denied parade participation if attire does not meet these standards.
Parade Dates & Start Time
- Saturday, July 18
- Tuesday, July 21
- Thursday, July 23
- Saturday, July 25
All parades begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Participants must check in with the Visiting Queen VIP Assistant no later than 8:00 a.m.
Check-in location: South of the State Capitol Building at 24th Street and Capitol Avenue.
Parade Placement
Visiting Royalty will ride in the VIP section of the parade. Participants may provide their own horse(s). If personal horses are not available, a wagon, carriage, or vehicle may be assigned, based on availability. Placement is limited and cannot be guaranteed.
Participants and attendants will ride with others as assigned. Due to the number of Visiting Royalty, cooperation with assigned wagons or vehicles is required.
- No outside cars, trucks, floats, or trailers are permitted.
- Horseback participants must be 13 years of age or older.
