    2026 Junior Barrels Application

  • Cheyenne Frontier Days™ is now accepting entries for the Junior Barrels competition for the 130th Annual Celebration.

    Entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to the first 30 entries received.

    Participants must be under 13 years of age as of August 1, 2026, and reside in Laramie County.

    Registrations is open to both boys and girls.

  • Entry Limits
    Entries are limited to the first 30 received. Any entries beyond the initial 30 will be placed on a waiting list to fill vacancies as they become available.

    Age Groups

    • 8 years and under
    • 9–12 years

    Contestants who are 12 years old must not reach their 13th birthday on or before August 1 in order to qualify.

    Race Days

    • Saturday, July 18
    • Sunday, July 19
    • Monday, July 20
    • Tuesday, July 21
    • Friday, July 24
    • Finals – Saturday, July 25

    Each contestant will receive two qualifying runs. The top six combined times in each age group will advance to the Finals.

    Fees
    The registration fee is $50.00. All fees are non-refundable.

    Back Number, Credentials & Park Access
    Each contestant will receive an information packet that includes the event schedule, back number, and a parking hanger.

    Parking hangers provide access to Frontier Park through Gate V-10 off Carey Avenue on competition dates only. If multiple contestants are from the same family, only one parking hanger will be issued.

    Dress Requirements
    All contestants and individuals entering the arena to assist a contestant must adhere to Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) guidelines and wear full western attire.

    Per PRCA regulations, full western attire includes:

    • Long-sleeve shirt
    • Jeans
    • Cowboy boots
    • Cowboy hat

    Awards
    Each contestant will receive a commemorative belt buckle, which will be presented on Saturday, July 29. Additional details regarding the buckle presentation will be shared closer to the event.

    Day of Race Information
    Check-in is located at the north end of the arena.

    Please allow ample time to check in prior to your race. Once checked in, contestants must remain in the designated area and be prepared to run immediately when called.

    Races begin at 11:45 a.m. each race day (subject to change).

    The daily rodeo performance of Cheyenne Frontier Days begins at 12:45 p.m., leaving a limited window to complete each day’s go-rounds. It is important that all contestants keep their run time under one minute.

    Contestants and spectators are expected to exit the arena and track area immediately following the completion of each daily go-round.

    PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

    RELEASE OF LIABILITY, VOLUNTARY ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK AND WAIVER OF CLAIM AGREEMENT
    I hereby enter this RELEASE OF LIABILITY, VOLUNTARY ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK AND WAIVER OF CLAIM AGREEMENT (“Agreement”) with Releasees (as defined below) to RELEASE RELEASEES and HOLD RELEASEES HARMLESS from any claims for NEGLIGENCE or FAULT that I might have against Releasees based on my participation in the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days, including any part thereof.

    I agree as used herein, “Releasees” shall mean Cheyenne Frontier Days, Inc. and all other sponsors and vendors of the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days together with their respective affiliated entities and parent entities, and their respective officers, agents, employees, directors, volunteers, consultants, shareholders and any and all persons or entities, of whatever nature, associated with, related to, or doing business with any of the foregoing.

    I have voluntarily registered to participate in the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days.

    I recognize that participating in any rodeo event, including the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days, is a HAZARDOUS ACTIVITY, which is dangerous and poses known and unknown risks of serious personal injury, death, and/or property loss or damage. I have voluntarily registered to participate in the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days despite the recognized and inherent dangers existing and despite the known and unknown risks of serious personal injury and/or death presented by practicing for and participating in the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days.

    I understand that this Agreement is a general release barring me and my representatives, executors, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns from bringing any claim against Releasees for personal injury, death and/or property loss or damage, if such a claim in any way relates to my practice for or participation in the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days.

    I understand that, in addition to the release I am providing herein, I may be required to sign additional releases, including the comprehensive assumption or risk and release of liability required by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

    I know my own capabilities and limitations regarding each of the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days events that I have entered or may enter and will not attempt to exceed my capabilities.

    THEREFORE, in consideration of being permitted to participate in the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days, I expressly and freely agree:
    1. To ASSUME ALL RISK of serious personal injury, death and/or property loss or damage arising from my practice for and/or participation in the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days.

    2. To inspect the facility and surface upon which I will be competing or practicing prior to competing or practicing upon or in that surface or facility.

    3. To WAIVE any and all claims that I now have or in the future may have against Releasees FOR ANY AND ALL LOSS, DAMAGE, INJURY OR EXPENSE THAT I MAY SUFFER, OR THAT MY NEXT OF KIN MAY SUFFER, as a result of my practice for or participation in any events related to the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days, due to the NEGLIGENCE OR FAULT of Releasees. Additionally, I agree to WAIVE any and all other claims that I now have or in the future may have against Releasees for any and all loss, damage, injury or expense that I may suffer, or that my next of kin may suffer, as a result of my practice for or participation in any events related to the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days.

    4. To RELEASE FROM LIABILITY AND HOLD RELEASEES FROM ANY AND ALL LOSS, DAMAGE, INJURY OR EXPENSE WHICH I MAY SUFFER, OR THAT MY NEXT OF KIN MAY SUFFER, as a result of my practice for or participation in the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days, due to the NEGLIGENCE OR FAULT on the part of RELEASEES OR DUE TO ANY OTHER CAUSE.

    5. That I am currently 18 years old or older or if I am not 18 years or older, my parent or legal guardian must sign the Agreement on my behalf. By the signature of my parent, my parent(s) shall be bound by the terms hereof and the minor participant shall likewise be bound. In the event it is determined this provision is not valid to release Releasees, the parent by the signature hereon agrees to fully hold harmless, defend, and indemnify Releasees from any and all claims that might be made by me or on my behalf.

    6. That I hold a valid personal health insurance policy sufficient in amount to cover any and all circumstances which may arise from participating in the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days.

    7. That I am in good health and have no physical or mental condition that would prevent me from participating in the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days.

    8. That I understand and agree that Releasees may use my name, likeness, video, or photos of my participation in the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days to promote the 2026 Cheyenne Frontier Days and future Cheyenne Frontier Days and related events. These rights will in no terms be extended beyond the purpose of promoting these events, and will not imply endorsement of any products of Releasees.

    9. That this Agreement contains the entire, integrated Agreement and understanding between and among me and Releasees and that no party is relying on any representation, statement, or understanding except as set forth herein.

    10. That the terms and conditions of this Agreement shall inure to the benefit of, and be binding upon, my agents, heirs, successors, assigns, next of kin, and personal representatives.

    11. That this Agreement may not be amended or otherwise changed accept by a writing signed by all parties hereto.

    12. This agreement shall be construed under the laws of the state of Wyoming and exclusive jurisdiction and venue shall be in the courts of Laramie County, Wyoming.
